“In Spain, when they want to say is up to you they use the expression “Tú misma”. One colleague invited me to lunch and I was hesitating then she said to me “Tú misma” and I felt bad as it was rude for me. I explained the situation to her and then she told me what she really meant is not to force me to do something I do not want to do. In my country we use to be sweeter and talk more (trying to convince the people, if we invite them out). Now, I use the expression with my friends.”
